Is this the end of Vikings Season 7 ?
No. Season 6 doesn’t mark the end of the show. However, Season 6 Part 2 does. The History Channel stated that the show ends after the second part due to low viewership. Fans will certainly not be left hanging.
Season 6 Part 1 aired from 4th December 2019 to 5th February 2020. The release date for part 2 is still unknown. Observing the season release pattern from Season 4 Part 2 to Season 6 Part 1, it is safe to assume that Season 6 part 2 may come out in December 2020. However, it is uncertain because circumstances may have changed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Additionally, Netflix is already in the talks of making a spin-off series named Vikings: Valhalla. So, fans don’t have to be upset about the show ending.
The expected plot from Season 6 Part 2
Most likely, the season will pick up where it left off. In the last episode, Ivar stabbed Bjorn leaving the fans stunned. This season will technically focus on his future. Further, the makers might also explore Floki’s future as he ascends to the throne of Kattegat. Since it’s a farewell season, fans are expecting something huge out of the finale. There is a lot of pressure on the makers to make it worth-while!
Previously, the story revolved around Ragnar Lothbrok. It showcased his journey from being a mere farmer to the King of Scandinavia. After he died in Season 4 part 2, the focus shifted towards his son, Bjorn Lothbrok. His journeys and conquests in England and Scandinavia became the main plot of the show.
