Early 8K benchmarks for the GeForce RTX 3090 Founders Edition have been launched. It is displaying the potential of NVIDIA’s US$1,499 card in games like Control, Death Stranding, Doom Eternal, and Forza Horizon 4. Certainly not 60 FPS covering the board for the RTX 3090.  Although the card can extend this verge in some triple-A titles.

Information As Per Videocardz

According to Videocardz the evaluations of the GeForce RTX 3090 could possibly be under  NDA. Although MKBHD and Linus Tech Tips have provided some commencing gaming impressions of NVIDIA’s newest card at 8K. The RTX 3090 has been displayed to provide as little as 5% FPS development over the RX 3080 at 4K, but the triple-slot card seems to be competent of (mostly) 60 FPS gaming at 8K.

Neither Marques Brownlee nor Linus Sebastian provided a simplified version of FPS scores, although the previous one at least reveals a consistent FPS counter during his video. It looks like that all RTX 3090 review units will be coupled with the Intel Core i9-10900K, for more information, which clocks up to 5.3 GHz on a single core. Brownlee also authenticated that he tested the RTX 3090 in a Maingear F131 that had been coupled with 32 GB of RAM.

Sebastian’s Review

It looks like the RTX 3090 can continue 60 FPS at 8K in games like Doom Eternal. Sebastian emphasized that he tested the game locked to 60 FPS with HDR enabled, while Death Stranding looked smooth on High/Very High graphics with DLSS Ultra Performance authorized. It is a much alike story in Forza Horizon 4, but Brownlee points out that Playground Games and Turn 10 Studio have pre-rendered information at 30 FPS at possibly 1440p, not 8K/60 FPS.

The RTX 3090 continues 60 FPS throughout the Autumn opening sequence of Forza Horizon 4, which carry on with the Winter sequence with a few drops as low as 55 FPS. GPU usage looks like to hit 95% at this point.  Although the Spring sequence forced the card harder, causing a low of 47 FPS and variation between 49-57 FPS in some portions with irregular peaks of 60 FPS.

What Else We Know

However, the performance of the RTX 3090 in Control is more fascinating. The Founders Edition continued around 50 FPS in 8K with DLSS, and VSync authorized on a Custom graphics preset. Though, these framerates were only reachable with the offered resolution set to 1440p. Expanding the offered resolution to 4K resulted in frame rates to drop to 32-36 FPS, while the offered resolution of 5K caused in frame rates of 20/21 FPS. It is yet to see RTX 3080 8K benchmarks, but it will be fascinating to see the distinction between NVIDIA’s two premium cards. As per TweakTown, these benchmarks must begin arriving around next month, presumably after the official launch of the RTX 3090 Founders Edition.
