HMD or HMD Global Oy is a Finnish Company. HMD is the home of Nokia phones. Nokia sold its mobile phone business to Microsoft in the past but bought it back from the latter in 2016. After this HMD tried to diversify its business, marketing, and technology. They started making feature phones and smartphones under the brand name “Nokia”.
Ever since Nokia is trying to modernize its old mobile models and design new and improved ones. They will add features like 4G and support for developing old models into smartphones. Nokia has been successful with relaunching famous models like Nokia 3310 and Nokia 8810 “Banana Phone” in modern designs.
Nokia 3300 is available in three versions
It has also relaunched, Nokia 5310 XpressMusic and Nokia 2720 with smart features. According to reports, the models that are next up for revival are:
- Nokia 6300
- Nokia 8000
Both of these phones are expected to be released with 4G and WiFi Calling.
The Original Nokia 6300, of Series 40 phones was launched into the market in the year 2007. It then had a
- Color Screen,
- Steel plates,
- MicroSD card slot,
- 2 Megapixel Camera.
HMD will relaunch 6300 with new and smart features. It is expected it will have 4G or LTE and WiFi calling. The camera capabilities will also be upgraded and we will be able to take pictures in high definition.
- It is a part of Nokia’s Premium 8xxx series. Nokia 8800 Sirocco is also a part of the Nokia 8xxx series. Nokia 8800 had
- a sapphire coated glass as a display,
- 2 Megapixel Camera,
- slide out cover for keypad.
There is a chance that the relaunched Nokia 8000 model might have sliding features too.
It is believed that Nokia 8000 and Nokia 6300 in their new features will hit the markets by the end of this year. It is anticipated that these models will be relaunched along with the launching of Nokia’s new smartphones Nokia 6.3 and Nokia 7.3. The European markets will welcome these two models before any other part of the world.
